During a massage, metabolic waste and toxins are released from your soft tissues. Drinking water helps your body flush these toxins out. If you don’t “flush” them out, they can remain in your system, which might leave you feeling unwell—headaches, nausea, or fatigue can follow.
After an initial phase where you might feel a bit “loose” or tired, many people experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and improved productivity that can last for days.
If you feel any soreness within 24 to 36 hours, try an Epsom salt bath. The high magnesium content in Epsom salt helps release lactic acid from muscles, easing discomfort. Here’s how:
Dissolve 4–5 cups of Epsom salt in a full bath of hot water
